Certainly one of Achleitner’s highlights is the complete independent development of a rolling chassis including associated vehicle electrical system. By taking COTS components into account, we achieve independence from vehicle manufacturers. Furthermore, the rolling chassis can be designed in conformity with the finished vehicle’s use profile, thus ensuring optimally tuned handling, both on-road and off. Beyond its targeted integration of specific special equipment, Achleitner is currently in the final phase of integrating a stability program. As a preliminary step toward semi-autonomous driving, the chassis is already drive-by-wire ready. The optimal composition of all components and systems once again clearly enhances occupant security during all driving, even where inexperienced drivers are behind the wheel, in this way boosting the product’s reliability.
